DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Business Process Manager to join the Oracle Analytics data team. This is a manager role that focuses on creating, managing, and optimizing data operations to power AI model development, including both data procurement and data annotations/quality control. You will be responsible for hiring and developing a team of data engineers and annotators, building relationships with internal and external data, engineering, and legal teams, and ensuring data quality, coverage, and timely delivery to downstream AI and machine learning teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in business operations, language resources management, analytics, linguistics, or data engineering, as well as practical experience managing data operations teams in an industry setting. Familiarity with Oracle business applications and analytics tools is a strong plus.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with data vendors.
- Develop and maintain data annotation guidelines, tooling, and quality control mechanisms.
- Identify data operations bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Lead a small to medium sized team of data annotators and language engineers.
- Own data delivery and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in data operations, data annotation, or a related role.
- 3+ years of experience in team management.
- Proficiency with data annotation tools, standards, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a self-starter mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion applications and analytics products.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and how annotated data supports model development.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
